My friends Buddy & Mary Cader are one of hundreds of families who lost their home last week. I started this blog and the soon to launch website www.ReBuildRB.com as a resource to families in this community.
I know the main thing Mary is focusing on is forming a group of neighbors who want to work together in rebuiding their. I'm starting this blog for her.
Below is the email I received after she attended the Townhall meeting last Thursday night at the RB Presbyterian Church. If you lost your home, and want to join in her effort, please contact her at 254-6954.

Hi Everyone,
Well, regarding the community forum. The City agreed to help with the demo and clean up. Apparently the homeowners have to be the ones to gather the larger builders because the City doesn't "get involved". I still cannot believe the Mayor stood in front of me on the podium in front of a couple of hundred people and told me they will have Barrett homes (and maybe a few other builders) at the meeting to address us on Thursday. Well, I was wrong for trusting a politician...silly me!
So we have to gather everyone who wants the community rebuild.
Stonefield Developers were at the meeting (but unable to make their presence known) and I was able to talk with them for a while. Their office will be open on Tuesday at 16956 Bernardo Center Dr. in RB. It is across from the fire station on the ground floor east side of the building. It is a starting point and they have a lot of good information whether we or not we choose to go with them or not.
So please spread the word and have homeowners to call me or Patty and Dennis at their office (760-479-1820). The larger we (homeowners) are, the more power we have and then the City will pay attention to
us!
